In 1832, a trapper in a small village in central New York named Sewell Newhouse worked in his father s blacksmith shop and created trading traps from worn out scythes, axe blades and blacksmith scrapes. Over one hundred years later the company that grew from his work would eventually be named Woodstream Corporation. The corporation is the parent company for wildlife and pet containment solutions as well as a provider of least toxic pest-control products. Victor brand products created by the company provide rodent control solutions such as metal pedal mouse traps, electronic mouse traps, mouse glue trays and boards, live catch mouse traps, rodenticides and a variety of rat traps and mole and gopher traps. Woodstream Corporation s Havahart brand provides products such as pet electronics, animal repellants, live animal cage traps, dog crates and wild bird feeders.
