West Chester Public Works Department is governed by the Borough Council of West Chester. Based in West Chester, Pa., the department collects municipal waste and operates a street sweeping program. It also conducts trash, curbside and biodegradable tree waste collection program. West Chester Public Works Department adopts anti-icing, a snow-removal technology to prevent snow accumulation. The department provides a storm water management program mandated by the Federal Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and monitored by the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (PADEP). In addition, it specializes in tree plantation.
