About VAC Motorsports VAC Motorsports as it is today is the combination of Verna's Auto Clinic ( to become VAC ), established in 1984, and Milano Engine and Machine corp; a multi-generation specialist of machine work and engine building, established in 1963. In the begining operating as a three-man shop specializing in bodywork & restoration, Verna's by 1987, had added BMW automotive specialties and repairs to our many services. It wasn't long before we hit our stride with BMW work and decided we needed more of a challenge, so we entered the racing ranks. After tracking localy for the early years, our first professional racing endeavors started in 1992, overseas in FIA-sanctioned rallies. We built a 1988 VW Golf GTI 16V Group-A Rally Car that entered competition in 1994. After two years of hard work, we won the 1996 FIA F2 Group A Championship in the Middle East. The following year was another exciting year for us. In 1997, we expanded to become the modern VAC we are today, this time by acquiring a long-time neighbor and friend, Milano Engine and Machine. The family-owned and run Milano Engine and Machine was established in 1963 and had continued building winning power for all manner of engines since that time. Paul Milano, a partner from the Milano era, is still involved on a full-time basis as Chief Engine Builder and provides many years of experience and technical knowledge to VAC Motorsports. The Milano acquisition was an important one because it helped truly make us a "One Stop Race Shop." It also enabled us to become more competitive in both the sales and racing arenas due to our excelent quality control and turn around time. Since that time, VAC once again expanded to operate a state of the art Body Shop, Full Service Repair shop, Full Engine & Manufacturing Machine Shop and provide new and used parts from a facility that covers more than 14, 000 square feet. My brother, Armand Salloum, runs our repair and body shop and has the latest in frame equipment and paint technology. He and his team have extensive experience repairing many BMW street cars and race cars. The repair shop has very advanced diagnostics equipment, especially for complex late model BMWs. There's no job that is too large or small for this crew. Our machine shop curently features the latest and greatest in equipment, just a few include a RMC Boring Mill, Serdi Valve Machine, HAAS & Hurco CNC Mills, Automated grinding equipment, Romi and Doosan CNC Lathes, Crankshaft Balancer, a Flow Bench along with Solid Works and Mastercam CAD/CAM Software. This is where we design and build Engines and Drivetrain Components and also design and manufacture our own line of VAC BMW Performance Parts that are used in High Performance and Racing applications around the world. Our parts department stocks a large variety of BMW Performance Parts along with truly hardcore Racing Parts. We should be able to truly meet just about all your needswhen you need them.
