With a motto like, "The Power to be our Very Best," Thomas Fitzwater Elementary School is always striving and has been recognized as one of the top elementary schools in the area. In 1999, it was honored as a National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence, and in 2007, it was awarded a Pennsylvania Achievement Grant. Thomas Fitzwater Elementary School has a very diverse student body; there are currently 445 students enrolled in kindergarten through fifth grade.
