The Temple University School of Medicine provides student-centered educational programs in medicine and biomedical sciences. It prepares students for careers as clinicians, researchers and educators, as well as to discover new knowledge that advances medical science and clinical care. The university also provides health care services to people in the community. The Temple University School of Medicine is accredited by the Liaison Committee on Medical Education and employs more than 450 full-time, over 65 part-time and nearly 1,100 volunteer faculty members, as well as approximately 860 staff personnel. Located in Philadelphia, the university has teaching affiliations with the Western Pennsylvania Medical Center, Crozer-Chester Medical Center, Geisinger Medical Center, St. Luke s Medical Center, Abington Memorial Hospital and Johnstown; Lehigh Valley Hospital.
