The Sisters of Divine Providence was founded in Germany in 1851 to serve Change to- low-income individuals. It offers education, health care, social work and pastoral care services and its members work as counselors and foster parents in campus ministry. The congregation organizes summer camp for girls. The Sisters of Divine Providence operates The Kearns Spirituality and Conference Center, which is a nondenominational ministry that offers programs in spirituality and holistic health. It also maintains Providence Villa, which is a ministry of hospitality that is located on more than 16 acres of woodland and has various meeting rooms, bedrooms, kitchens, libraries and formal dining rooms, as well as a small cottage. The congregation maintains a location in Allison Park, Pa.
