Sewickley Heights' topography and 20th century residential architecture -- an abundance of walls, gates, gate houses and outbuildings -- is a distinguished, unique collection on a grand scale. Sewickley Heights' architecture is noteworthy for retaining many structures from its early history; it is now the only borough in Pennsylvania designated entirely as a historic district. Sewickley Heights is about 10 miles west of Pittsburgh with easy access to Interstate 79 and the Pittsburgh International Airport. A council of seven elected council members oversee the borough's business. Council chambers are located on the first floor of the Borough Hall at the Allegheny Country Club, 238 Country Club Road.
