Pa House Fellowship Program
The Pennsylvania House Fellowship Program, established in 1982, offers students a unique opportunity to gain work experience, education, and insight into the legislative process. Located in the magnificent State Capitol in Harrisburg, the 13-week program places undergraduate juniors and seniors, graduate students, and law school students from Pennsylvania colleges or universities in the offices of Committee Chairmen or House Leaders. Since its inception, over 35 students have found employment in government or government-affiliated institutions after completing the fellowship. During the fellowship, participants attend hearings, committee meetings, and Legislative Sessions, while also conducting policy research, drafting bill analyses, and working on constituent services. They have the chance to interview a member of the General Assembly and develop and present a piece of original legislation as their final project. Weekly workshops with prominent figures in government and politics provide valuable insights. Fellows receive a bi-weekly stipend, and academic credits are available. This program offers a behind-the-scenes look at the legislative process and a unique opportunity to network with professionals in the field.Generated from the website
