Founded in 1984, SEAMAAC, also known as the Southeast Asian Mutual Assistance Association Coalition is a refugee and immigrant-operated organization that serves various immigrants and families. It offers services that include employment and job assistance, breast cancer awareness programs housing assistance and refugee resettlement, and prenatal and postnatal counseling. The organization also offers case management, advocacy, education and health programs for children, youths and adults. In addition, it provides truancy prevention, after-school enrichment and summer programs. SEAMAAC also provides information about health risks of tobacco use through educational presentations, youth involvement and an anti-tobacco hotline. The organization is a member of the United Way and is located in Philadelphia.
