R.W. Brown Community Center, located in Philadelphia, is a human service agency. The organization is a part of Caring People Alliance, an affiliate of the Boy & Girls Clubs of America. Caring People Alliance serves more than 10,000 individuals and over 500 families each year through community centers, and nearly 25,000 members of the community through Child Care Information Services. The organization provides state-licensed preschool programs for children up to the age of 5. The programs include educational activities, swimming lessons, arts and crafts, computer technology, music appreciation, educational trips and theater classes. Through its parenting collaborative group, the organization provides information to participants on various aspects of parenting, including the stages of child development, varied approaches to positive parenting, conflict resolution and problem-solving.
