KML Bearing along with Guangdong PRB Yangchun Bearing Company Ltd established another joint venture bearing factory adopting new manufacturing technology and importing equipment from Italy and Japan. KML Bearing established its Research Development Group, which was set up in Hong Kong to research and develop low noise electrical motor bearings. KML Bearing developed the first automated clean room, production line for cleaning, greasing and sealing ball bearings. This innovative production line was adopted by the three largest Chinese bearing manufacturers at the time, HRB, ZWZ, LYC as well as other leading sealed ball bearing factories throughout the China. These production lines were also exported to Great Britain and the United States.
