Dr. Nicholas A. Bonazza is an orthopaedic surgeon with additional fellowship training in orthopaedic sports medicine. He treats patients for injuries of the shoulder, elbow, knee, and ankle and works with them to develop a plan for return to the field, the court, the course, or just the backyard.He received his medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington, D.C. and completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at Penn State Health in Hershey, Pennsylvania. During residency, he also earned a Master of Health Administration degree from Penn State. He gained further training through the orthopaedic sports medicine fellowship at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina. He has cared for athletes at all levels of competition and stays active in research to develop better ways of caring for all patients.He is a member of the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine, the Arthroscopy Association of North America, the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, and the American Orthopaedic Association Emerging Leaders Program.
