Since 1980, Maternity Care Coalition has assisted more than 100,000 families throughout Southeastern Pennsylvania, focusing particularly on neighborhoods with high rates of poverty, infant mortality, health disparities, and changing immigration patterns. We know a family's needs change as they go through the pregnancy and their child's first years and we offer a range of services and programs for every step along the way. MCC's mission is to improve the health and well-being of pregnant women and parenting families, and enhance school readiness for children 0-3. We achieve this through direct service, advocacy and research, in collaboration with individuals, families, providers, and communities.SpecialtiesEarly Head Start (EHS) is an early care and education program that provides services to pregnant women and families with children ages 0-3. EHS serves families in their homes or in childcare centers located in South Philadelphia, Norristown, Pottstown and Lower Bucks County, offering: - The highest quality educational and family support - Free developmental and health screenings for children - Services for children with disabilities - Connections to community resources for job training, English as a Second Language (ESL) classes, medical and dental care and more - Baby basics such as diapers, gently used clothing and infant formula
