History
As a kid, Mickie, watched the older girls in the neighborhood braid all day long. She picked up the skill by age 10 just by watching. The older she got and the more she practiced the better she got. She never thought that it would lead to a career. As hard as she tried to move away from doing hair, it kept calling her. After many different career attempts and obtaining some skills along the way, she decided to take hair seriously and went to Jean Madeline Institute for her education, where her love and passion deepened. After graduating at the top of her class and turning down an offer from the Adolf Beicker Academy, she opened her own salon. Continuing education was always stressed at the Jean Madeline Institute, and if she left with nothing else, she takes that to heart.
