History
Making A Change Performing Arts Company (MAC PAC) was founded in Philadelphia, PA in 2008 by Director and choreographer Timothy Porter. The company consists of 20 dancers, male and female, that live all over the city of Philadelphia. Each member has an incredible passion and gift for dance, and has decided to take that love to the next level by being a part of MAC PAC. The company is working towards accomplishing goals and achievements that are brand new to the dance world. Timothy and his dancers not only bring about numerous styles of dancing, but they also put their talents to use in the best way possible - by serving the community and displaying their creation for audiences to enjoy. Every show they create focuses on a social issue that will touch peoples' hearts, and also shines light on various struggles our communities face every day. With their powerful, exuberant, and exciting movement, MAC PAC's performances will surely be entertaining, fun and inspiring.
Specialties
Instill and promote positive change through dance. Provide a social and entertainment forum for people with diverse interests, backgrounds and ages. Provide dance training for students at all ages and levels of dance from beginner to advance. Raise awareness around significant topics and events that affect human development through dance. Raise awareness to various social issues such as homelessness, domestic abuse, drugs, violence, etc.
