Lancaster Juvenile Probation is one of the departments operated by the local government of Lancaster in Pennsylvania. The department is responsible for providing guidance and supervision for juveniles between the ages of 10 and 17 years who are referred by local police departments, agencies and private citizens for committing crimes. Additionally, the department is responsible to ensure that juveniles who are placed on probation follow probation rules and receive proper court-related services. Lancaster Juvenile Probation also ensures that juveniles are referred to various community services as per the requirement. The department coordinates with schools and agencies regarding several employment and training programs and other juvenile services within the community. Its range of services includes parent support group programs, drug and alcohol awareness groups, family therapies and legal procedures.
