Joseph attended the Ivy School of Professional Art and Carnegie Mellon University. While a student, he apprenticed at Colonial Art Furniture ' learning the fine art of wood finishing and restoration. Over the years, he has worked with several furniture and cabinetry shops. In 1990, he opened his own business. Kelly Custom Furniture & Cabinetry is located in Pittsburgh's Lawrenceville neighborhood and is part of the 16: 62 Design Zone ' an area with more than 80 shops, galleries, businesses and services providing art, antiques, home and office furnishings, renovation and construction resources.
