History
Jumonville started as a Soldier's Orphans School following the Civil War and then became a Methodist Camp & Retreat Center in 1941. The program grew from summer only to year round in 1971, and celebrated its 75th Anniversary in 2016. It is open to all denominations and serves about 10,000 overnight guests per year.
Specialties
Christian Camp & Retreat Center best known for the 60ft. Cross of Christ on the mountaintop, for offering Summer Camp arts, adventure, sports, sampler and family camps, and hospitality for retreats 3 seasons of the year. Meals, lodging, meeting, and recreation facilities are available along with 3 challenge Ropes Courses and an indoor climbing gym. Hiking trails, prayer walk and quiet spaces are also available to enrich the mind, body, and spirit.
