Led by Chief Len Keller, who joined the department in 2002, the Jackson Township Police Department has eight full-time officers (including two K-9 officers), four part-time officers and two part-time support staff. They provide 24-hour protection for the 23 miles that make up Jackson Township and they also patrol the Seneca Valley School District campus, which includes the senior high school, the intermediate high school and the seventh and eighth grade middle school. The department also deploys a School Resource Officer to the district.
The department has eight marked units, three unmarked units, one special services unit and one ATV.
In 2007, the police department became an Accreddited Law Enforcement Agency.
