Inglis House, founded in 1877 and located in Philadelphia, is a specialty nursing care facility housing nearly 300 adults with physical disabilities. It offers a range of services, such as long-term, rehabilitative medical and nursing care, physical, occupational and speech therapies, and social enrichment programs, including computer and education therapy, vocational rehabilitation, therapeutic recreation and religious programs. The facility has a staff that is skilled at working with people who have multiple sclerosis, cerebral palsy, spinal cord injuries, and other neurological disorders and disabilities. Its medical and nursing services are provided 24-hours a day by registered nurses, licensed practical nurses and certified nursing assistants. Additionally, the facility offers rehabilitative therapy programs, social services, social enrichment programs and a community re-entry program.
