Theatre Harrisburg is the oldest performing arts organization in the Capital Region and one of the oldest active community theatres in the United States. Founded in 1926, the theatre has been a prominent fixture in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, staging productions in various locations until the construction of its permanent home, the Jay and Nancy Krevsky Production Center, in 1952. With two venues, including an intimate black box space and the Sunoco Performance Theater at Whitaker Center for Science and the Arts, Theatre Harrisburg continues to bring a diverse range of shows and events to the stage, showcasing regional premieres, Tony Award-winning musicals, and Pulitzer Prize-winning rock musicals.
As a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, Theatre Harrisburg relies on the support of its community to continue providing quality theater experiences. Through donations, sponsorships, volunteering, and other forms of support, patrons can contribute to the success and longevity of this historic community theatre. With a rich history and a commitment to excellence, Theatre Harrisburg invites audiences to join them for their 98th season and experience the magic of live theater in Harrisburg.
