History
Green Valley Pool was built by Francis and Dottie Zimmerman in 1953, with the official opening Memorial Day, 1954. The original pool was 50' x80'. For the next 39 years the Zimmermans operated the facility while enlarging the pool, and adding tennis and basketball courts. In 1993 Russ & Lori Jacobs bought the facility and in 2000' added an additional lap pool (which is slightly larger than the original pool), quickly followed by batting cages, a baseball field, a playground, horseshoe pits and many more pavilions. In 2008 the spray park was added and in 2010, a 175' water slide. A lot of blood, sweat and tears have gone into the building and maintenance of Green Valley since its inception in 1953, but it has been well worth it. You could say that we're stuck in a time warp here at Green Valley, determined to keep clean, wholesome, old-fashioned summertime fun a mainstay of what we have to offer. We hope you enjoy your visit with us, whether it is a day, a summer, or a lifetime
