Franklin Bronze & Alloy Company, an investment casting and sand casting company, is one of Pennsylvania s oldest manufacturers of nonferrous, stainless steel and nickel-base castings. Established in Franklin, Pa., in 1878, it is one of the oldest continually operating foundries in Pennsylvania. The foundry s casting division is housed in a 25,000-square-foot facility that includes five casting furnaces. It is capable of producing more than 250 molds per day. The company s tooling facility offers in-house machining services. Its sand casting division produces castings in brass, bronze, aluminum, stainless steel and nickel-base alloys, ranging from one inch to 3 square feet and weighing up to 200 pounds. Sand casting orders range from one to 50,000 pieces. Franklin Bronze & Alloy Company s quality control includes hardness tests and chemical analysis.
