Initially, the Feasterville Fire Company started as the Feasterville Emergency Corporation and organizated at a chapel on Jan. 16, 1942. The fire company passed its bylaws, established its women's auxiliary, a siren was placed on Street Road and Bustleton Pike and the company was chartered as the Feasterville Fire Company in 1943.
The company's apparatus inludes Engine 1 and Engine 1-2, two pumper trucks, a 105 foot ladder and three Ford Explorers. According to the company's statistics, it answers about 375 fire calls and 30 medical calls a year. It's staffed by 60 volunteer firefighters, administrative, auxiliary and fire police members.
The company constructed a fire hall in 1971, which it still uses today. The hall (which is available for rental) holds up to 175 people with a dance floor, kitchen, bar and DJ area.
