History
The majick, mystique and history of New Orleans captured our hearts as soon as we first set foot in the Crescent City years ago. We are now honoring the city's most infamous red light district, an alluring and mischevious 38 block area just outside of the French Quarter called Storyville - where ladies of the night and musicians like Jelly Roll Morton earned a living, while creating a new form of music ~ Jazz. Storyville was bounded by Iberville, Basin Street, St. Louis, and N. Robertson streets. Alderman Sydney Story could not control illegal activities in this port city at the turn of the century, so he simply decided to quarantine them.
