The Juvenile Detention Center of Delaware County is a division of the Court Services Department in the state of Pennsylvania. The center is licensed and regulated by the Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare. It provides security services for the community of young people between the ages of 10 and 18 whose behavior has endangered and appears likely to cause danger to the citizens and their property within the community. The center s sources of reimbursement include funding through the Department of Education and the National School Lunch Program. The Juvenile Detention Center of Delaware County also provides several programs, including collaboration with Widener University and Cabrini College for youths while detained. It is a part of the government of Delaware County in Pennsylvania.
