History
The Columbia Historic Market House was established on September 17, 1869. At the beginning, it was an open-air market where animals roamed around freely. As time, the market house became a closed year-round market with full-time stand holders. Today it offers a mix-use of stand holders and has special events each month involving the community.

The Columbia Historic Market House is a wonderful display of architectural genius. From the arched roof to the tie rods throughout the market. The Market House offers a mix-use of vendors including ready to eat food, baked good, seasonal produce, home decor, essential oils, etc. Below the market house is a dungeon, at which time held criminals of small crimes.
