History
New York style pizza meets South Philly inspired sandwiches where everything is made fresh in house.
Specialties
Vince Colibraro and Carla Ruscio have known each other for most of their lives, as their families have been friends for generations. Colibraro, 28, has been making pizza for half of his life, getting started at a local pizza shop at the age of 13. Carla, who runs the day-to-day operations, said she always wanted to own her own business. In 2020, the two reconnected and decided to purchase Spizzico Pizzeria at 440 Morris Road in Wayne, PA, and turned it into their own pizza shop, Carla's Pizzeria. The new shop features classic New York- style pizza along with South Philly-inspired sandwiches, which include hoagies, cutlets, and cheesesteaks. We went back to the basics of pizza and sandwiches where we make everything fresh in house. Our menu is inspired by foods and recipes that we grew up with, but we added a twist. The restaurant operates as takeout and delivery only, open six days a week and closed on Sunday's.
