“Having a positive impact on my patients is my greatest reward as an Orthopaedic Surgeon. I love when people come back to tell me that their pain has been controlled and they are getting back to their normal activities." Dr. Duke is a fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon, specializing in hip and knee replacements. He graduated magna cum laude from Cornell University and received his medical degree from the Renaissance School of Medicine at Stony Brook University in New York. He completed a residency program in Orthopaedic Surgery at Stony Brook University Hospital followed by a fellowship in Adult Reconstructive Surgery at NYU Langone Orthopaedic Hospital in New York City. Under the tutelage of some of the field’s pioneers and leaders, he mastered the latest minimally invasive techniques in arthroplasty surgery, opioid-sparing multi-modal pain control treatments, and computer navigation / robotic-assisted surgeries. His scope of expertise encompasses a comprehensive range of procedures for degenerative joint diseases of the hip and knee. From direct anterior and STAR approaches to the hip, partial and total knee replacements, and complex primary and revision surgeries, he employs the most innovative strategies to achieve the best results for his patients. Dr. Duke’s goal is to employ state-of-the-art tissue sparing and rapid recovery pain management strategies, which help to facilitate same day discharge and to optimize patient recuperation in the comfort of their own homes – a strategy that has demonstrated superior post-operative outcomes.
