Adams County Public Library System is located in South Central Pennsylvania. The population of the county is about 91, 000. The main branch is located in the historic community of Gettysburg. The library system is made up of six library facilities, and a bookmobile. To register for a library card, all you need is proof of residency. Such proof could include drivers license, bank checks, or recent mail. Library cards can be used at any facility, or on the bookmobile. The library participates in the Access PA system, which means if you have a valid card from a participating library, you may register for a card in our system for free. If you live out of state, you may register for a library card Adams County Library System in Gettysburg at 140 Baltimore Street for a small fee.
