History
The Gorge White House is a historic home on a century old working farm. The home, built in 1910 is listed on the National Registry of Historic Places. It was a private residence until 2007, when The Gorge White House opened for business. The home is nearly unchanged since the day it was built and is an elaborate example of a Dutch Colonial Revival home. The orchard property was first planted in 1902. Of the 31 acres, 17 remain in orchard with the remaining in flower fields, u-pick strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, and soon-to-be-producing cherries, apples, nectarines, peaches and pears. The original shop building has been converted into a farm stand that offers locally grown fruit and produce as well as value added farm products such as jams, dried fruit and more. The beer and cider tasting also takes place in a portion of the old original shop.
