History
During our family trips to the Oregon coast, our children took notice of all the plastic items that had washed to shore. Over dinner one evening, we talked about what part we could take in solving this problem. We came up with the idea of collecting the items and turning them into art. The first project involved taking bits and pieces of plastic and nylon rope and gluing them onto a cardboard box. Over the years, our projects have expanded into collages and one-of-a kind robots. These projects became memorable art that friends and family cherish...thus the idea of The Craft Factory was born! Our goal is to inspire and teach our children to be creative with what we have, to give back to the world, and to find beauty in all things. A percentage of our sales is donated toward beach cleanup. - Melissa DeMartini and Ed Biden
