History
Sundown Grill is located in our Historic home, formerly known as The Raley House, in downtown Pendleton. We purchased The Raley house in 1991 and moved our restaurant, Raphael's into the lower portion of the home with our living quarters above. In 2010 Raphael's celebrated its 25th anniversary and Chef Rob and I decided to take a much needed three year hiatus. In 2013 we reopened with a new name and a new menu concept. I wanted to pay tribute to Jackson Sundown who is my native relative and somewhat of a legend in the history of the Pendleton Round up. Out of respect I wanted to perpetuate his name and image and that is how Sundown Grill came to life. Today we serve a variety Grill and BBQ favorites as well as Chef Rob's Signature dishes from his many years as a Chef. We look forward to meeting you and we hope you enjoy your dining experience at Sundown Grill!
