South Eugene High School enrolls more than 1,600 students annually in grades 9 through 12. Its curriculum includes classes in science, math, social studies, language arts, and health and physical education. The school provides various extracurricular activities that include drama, music and theater, as well as the English Language Learners program. South Eugene High School operates chess, comedy, debate, earth, tango and robotics clubs. In addition, it provides membership opportunities for the National Honor Society. The school maintains a library that houses various educational materials and resources. South Eugene High School provides sports activities, including football, basketball, volleyball, soccer, swimming, baseball, softball, wrestling, golf, tennis, and track and field. The school has a parent council that arranges funds for school programs and events. It is governed by Eugene School District 4J, which serves over 16,500 students annually.
