Asking for help is an important first step in making your life better. I know it can be difficult navigating relationships - whether you're trying to find or maintain a healthy relationship - or getting over unhealthy ones. Overcoming the effects of childhood or relationship abuse, learning to control anxiety or compulsive behaviors in the way of healthy functioning, dealing with the challenges of sexual dysfunction or negotiating incompatibility in sexual desire - these are concerns I've helped individuals and couples with for 30+ years. My style is warm, nonjudgmental and interactive. I strongly believe that therapy is a collaborative experience.
A major focus of my practice continues to be relationship and sex therapy, although I enjoy working with individual issues as well. These include overcoming childhood trauma and managing life's transitions and challenges. I became an AASECT certified sex therapist in 1975, and have both practiced and taught in that specialty ever since.
I use a variety of treatment modalities including talk therapy, EMDR, CBT, and Thoughtfield Therapy. Life is meant to be enjoyed. Isn't it time you enjoyed your life more? Let me help you. You'll find my personal style warm and supportive - as well as actively directive. Let's talk.
