The Driver and Motor Vehicle Services Division is a part of the Oregon Department of Transportation, which is governed by the state of Oregon. The division focuses on promoting driver safety and promoting financial and ownership interests in vehicles. It is also responsible for the collection of revenues. The division issues driver licenses and identification cards to citizens. The Driver and Motor Vehicle Services Division also maintains a database of records and disseminates information, as well as provides law enforcement solutions. Established in 1969, the Oregon Department of Transportation develops programs for the improvement of the state s highways, roads and bridges.
