History
Over the course of its more than 20-year history, Oregon Contemporary Theatre has earned a reputation for high artistic quality and commitment to presenting challenging and diverse scripts. Randy Lord and Chris Leebrick set out in 1992 to create a daring professional theatre engaging the cultural diversity of Lane County; the result was the Lord Leebrick Theatre Company. Artistic Director Craig Willis has been at the helm of the company since 2003. After a move to a new home on Broadway in 2013, the company changed its name to Oregon Contemporary Theatre. OCT has become the place for bold, live, professional theatre in Eugene. OCT is a proud member of Theatre Communications Group (TCG) and an associate member of the National New Play Network (NNPN), The company has become increasingly professional with each change, raising its profile locally, regionally, and nationally.
