10/7/2023 - Swan Lake was amazing! The sets were so dreamy. While waiting for the crowds to exit we caught a glimpse of the stacked sets.

2/23/2024 - Peter Pan at the Keller was a lovely performance. Sad the music was recorded & ushers were chatting away by the box curtains.

History

OBT's company of professional ballet dancers has been moving audiences in Portland and around the world for 25 years. Performing classical full-length works, 20th century masterpieces, and brand-new contemporary dance, OBT is known for thrilling, dynamic shows and magical performative experiences. Currently led by Artistic Director Kevin Irving, OBT was founded in 1989 with James Canfield at the helm. Christopher Stowell served as Artistic Director from 2003-2012, adding over 70 works to the repertoire. The School of OBT has always been an integral part of the organization, training future ballet dancers and art lovers. Students from SOBT have had the opportunity to perform alongside the company in productions like
