Opened in 1973, Myers Elementary School has an enrollment of more than 500 students in kindergarten through grade five. It offers physical education and music classes, as well as bilingual and child care services. The school also conducts book fairs, teacher nights, award assemblies, and harvest and Valentine's Day parties. Myers Elementary School features a site council and parent-teacher association, as well as a library that conducts a reading program. Located in Salem, Ore., the school is a part of Salem-Keizer Public Schools, which is one of the largest educational districts in Oregon and serves more than 20,000 students in over 25 academic institutions.
