History
Mokuti Medical Arts was founded in 2008 where the focus was on massage and bodywork, and qigong training where the focus was on injury recovery and chronic illness management. The owners, Stephen and Mary Schleipfer were trained as massage therapists at the Dayton School of Medical Massage in Dayton, Ohio in 2002. Upon Stephen's graduation from the National College of Natural Medicine in 2011, classical Chinese medicine became the focus treatment for patients. In 2014, Stephen received his Master in Medical Qigong (China). The owners at Mokuti Medical Arts use a patient centered approach where their goal is to listen and understand the entire person including mind, body, and living environment. The most appropriate modality will be used for each patient and their needs. Modalities used may include medical qigong treatment, acupuncture, medical qigong prescription exercises and meditation, cupping, moxibustion, herbal therapy, teishin, qigong tuina, and life-nourishing practices.
