The Oregon Housing and Community Services Department, founded in 1991, is a housing finance agency that provides financial support to create and preserve opportunities for quality and affordable housing for low- and moderate-income citizens. It administers federal and state anti-poverty, homeless, energy assistance and community service programs. Oregon Housing and Community Services Department provides assistance in the financing of single-family homes, new constructions and rehabilitation of multifamily affordable housing developments. In addition, the agency provides services for grants and tax credits to promote affordable housing. It works with public and private partners and regional Governor s Economic Revitalization teams. Located in Salem, Ore., Oregon Housing and Community Services Department supports various housing programs, including community service block grant, community development corporations, manufactured dwelling park community relations and community development incentive project fund.
