History
Counseling is a late return to an old calling. At 47, I left a 20+ year self-employed career in the interior design world for a graduate degree in clinical counseling. My years in business, creative arts, project management and client relationships trained me well for the business of counseling and my ability to support entrepreneurs. My curiosity, compassion, and genuine desire to reduce suffering in the world are what support my connection with my clients.
Specialties
I am both existential and strategic. My philosophy is that we all have within us a clear voice that knows what feels right and what gives us personal meaning and purpose. The complexity of being human can muffle that voice, and the work of therapy is to clear the barriers that keep us from our truest selves. I support this process through intensive self-study mixed with strategy to identify personal aims and create action steps to achieve them. Along the way, I support navigating the challenges and inevitable obstacles of life. I specialize in supporting clients through grief, transitions of all kinds, career development (especially for entrepreneurs), and self-empowerment to manage depression and anxiety.
