History
Every Penny Counts LLC was started in April 2007, with 37 years of experience working in all areas of accounting and payroll. Starting as an Accounts Receivable clerk in 1970 at a poultry company in Iowa, I continued my on-the-job experience to become a full-charge bookkeeper. Over the years I have become proficient in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Invoicing, Payroll, General Journal Entry and sales tax reporting for California and Washington. I have taken accounting classes at Portland Community College and The University of Phoenix. It was my intention to become a CPA but realized I didn't want to work in the corporate world nor did I want to do taxes. I have always had a love of facts and numbers and bookkeeping is what I do best. I learned to do bookkeeping and payroll before the computer age, but have been using QuickBooks for many years. I am certified as a QuickBooks Pro Advisor for 2008, 2009 and 2010 and am currently working on 2011.
