The Operations Division is a public service agency governed by the Department of Public Works of the government of the city of Beaverton, Ore. It is responsible for providing a variety of maintenance activities to ensure the long-term management of the city s infrastructure. The division offers a range of services for pedestrians and roadways, bike paths, water quality facilities, underground sanitation sewer pipes, and city vehicles and equipment. The Operations Division maintains a traffic signals, signs and streetlight section that is responsible for the maintenance of the city's street lighting system, street pavement markings, street names and regulatory signs. Its landscape and urban forestry maintenance section maintains the landscapes of city-owned properties and right-of-ways, and for plants and maintains street trees. It also offers educational classes and materials related to arboriculture and provides professional arboriculture assistance to citizens.
