History
The Bay Haven Inn was built in September 1908 and began as an Inn with 3 rooms upstairs. The top floor is gone and the business has now evolved into an authentic pub style bar with the name unchanged. Apparently some of the relics have hung around, too and I'm not talking about our commercial fishermen, although, we have plenty of them along with their stories, which they are more than willing to share. The pinball machine and barstools that were shown, along with the bar billed as 'The Snag' in the 1971 movie 'Sometimes a Great Notion' are still here along with a few more items we collected along the way. Ask our friendly bartenders if you are curious about the stuff hanging around the bar, they know the history on darn near everything in this place and are more than happy to share a story or two. We have updated a bit recently, while keeping the Haven as original as possible. Come on in, check it out, relax while the family shops and soak up the local color.
Specialties
At this old school meeting place, you will enjoy a full bar with Oregon beer and spirits alongside your standard favorites, all priced for locals. If your fancy drink involves one of those new fangled blenders, we can shake up a mean drink, but we don't even own a broken whirry thing. While pub food is available, people come for the fun and the entertaining decor. Live music is available every weekend of the year and our Sunday afternoon jam session is legendary. Horseshoe pits and a landscaped beer garden with covered seating round out the unique spaces to hang out and enjoy the friendly locals. This is an old school fisherman's bar with Oregon State Lottery, a jukebox and a pool table, heck, the pinball machine might even be working!
