HistoryIn 2001 Portland Shaolin Center was founded as a branch of Shaolin-Do Kung Fu. Over the years it grew and evolved to offer Shaolin Kung Fu, Northern Seven Star Praying Mantis, Yang T'ai Chi, Sun T'ai Chi, and Chen T'ai Chi. Finally in 2019 Jenny took over as owner when life lead the previous owners in different directions. In recognition of how much the school had grown over the years it was renamed to Many Roads Martial Arts Center to reflect the wide range of instructor and student backgrounds. The updated name also acknowledges that not everyone studies martial arts for the same reasons or in the same way and the most important part is to keep studying and improving towards your own goals.SpecialtiesMany Roads Martial Art Center provides high quality martial arts instruction in varity of styles with a focus on health, flexibility, and community. The center is located in Southeast Portland and offers classes 7 days a week for motivated adults looking to improve their health, challenge themselves, and join a supportive community of like minded people.
