HistoryClassical Ballet Academy began in 1980 by Julie Rutherford Blacksten as a ballet school. As the school began to grow, many other forms of dance were added to include what is currently being offered: Tap, Jazz, Modern Dance, Lyrical, Contemporary, Modern Dance, Leaps and Turns, as well as Strength and Conditioning with Flexibility training. Classical is also home to the ballet company, Norman Dance Theatre as well as CBA Competitive Dance Company.SpecialtiesClassical Ballet Academy offers professional training in Ballet, Pointe, Jazz, Tap, Contemporary, Modern Dance, Lyrical, Hip Hop, and Leaps and Turns.
