When you are accused of committing a crime, your reputation, freedom, and future may be at stake. This is especially true if you are a minor, as Oklahomas unique juvenile criminal process allows some defendants to be charged as youthful offenders. Unlike juvenile delinquents, youthful offenders are not generally released on their 18th birthdays and are instead transferred to adult facilities to carry out their sentences. You should therefore not wait to seek legal representation if you have been detained, arrested, or charged.
