The Early Childhood Center, a part of Sand Springs Public Schools, is a learning institution that features several educational programs for students. Its curriculum focuses on meeting the developmental, health and academic needs of children. The institution employs a staff of more than 25 individuals, including administration personnel, classroom teachers and paraprofessionals. Located in Sand Springs, Okla., the Early Childhood Center conducts sessions in letter recognition, color identification, book orientation and rhyming. It also focuses on the math skills of children and offers character education classes. In addition, the institution conducts physical and health education classes and parent-teacher conferences. The Early Childhood Center organizes winter parties, spring programs and visits to zoos, as well celebrates Christmas and the birthdays of children. Sand Springs Public Schools operates the Lake Alternative Academy, Charles Page High School, Central Ninth Grade Center and Clyde Boyd Middle School.
