Syntroleum monetizes remote and stranded natural gas. The company develops, uses and licenses its Syntroleum Process, a proprietary process for converting natural gas into synthetic liquid hydrocarbons. It employs technology to form joint ventures and acquire equity in oil and gas development projects when gas-to-liquid processes are critical to success. Syntroleum's capabilities enable it to offer solutions for natural gas reserves that cannot be produced economically using traditional methods. The Syntroleum Process produces synthetic liquid hydrocarbons that are virtually free of contaminants normally found in conventional crude-oil products. The company further processes SLHs into higher-margin products, such as ultraclean liquid fuels for use in internal combustion engines and fuel cells and specialty products, including synthetic lubricants, process oils and waxes. Syntroleum is based in Tulsa, Okla.
